Our business is independently owned & operated. I am still a collector at heart & always will be. The business was founded after my passion took over my parents home.

As a child, I always enjoyed collecting stamps. This is a relaxing and enjoyable hobby that anyone can participate in and use to take your mind away from day to day stress and worry. Stamps collecting can be an interesting hobby for many reasons, and the stamps you own certainly don't have to be rare or valuable for you to enjoy them. The history behind many issues is fascinating, and worth researching further.

Sandy Bay stamps was founded in 2012 as a part time business, mostly selling small lots on eBay. Over time, the enjoyment of this hobby kicked in even more.. More and more stock was being purchased and sold, and due to the massive quantities of material we were holding, we quickly ran out of space.

​

It was finally time to move into an office suite in the beautiful seaside suburb of Sandy Bay in Tasmania. We are located just a short stroll (or drive) from the Hobart CBD, in the central business district of Sandy Bay. Our premises are set up as an office, rather than a retail shop, although we are open to the public by appointment.

Working with colleagues, we have access to huge quantities of material. Whether you need one scarce or valuable stamp to complete your collection, some packets or kiloware for the kids, or want to corner the entire stocks of a particular stamp, country or theme, we can assist. If we don't have what you want, we'll source it for you.
